Letters & Updates

"A picture is worth a thousand words."
So may people nowadays participate in open and semi open adoptions where they send letters and updates to the birth parents. Many adoptive moms wonder what they should include in these updates. Below are a few ideas from a birthmom’s point of view!
What to include in the letters and updates:
Tell us how your child is doing, about his/her personality, cute stories, likes/dislikes, etc. We want to be able to experience his or her childhood through you. Please tell us about his/her eating habits, milestones, etc.
Of course we want pictures of the child individually, but sending us family photos are ok too! It helps us to see the child happy with his/her family. Pictures of the child in clothes we send or with things we send are awesome!
We’d love a lock of hair when your child has his/her first hair cut.
Tell us about places the baby has traveled or vacations you go on with your child.
Sometimes the things you write are not so important, it's the love we feel when we read the letters or see the pictures.
When your child is old enough to draw and color, please send us a picture
he/she made!
